Just found out about these new vista groups and welcome them. I am not beta testing anything but like to learn and prepare ahead of time.
As for games my thing is MS flight sim so if anyone has any inside covert info cough it up :-)
My system is a P4/ 3.4 1GB RAM and XP Home, ATIX700 pro PCI express. ATI tells me they will provide support for DX10 via software for my card so I may not have to upgrade. Dont want to miss the flight sim goodies
Thanks
Bill
at the moment there are no flight sims included in vista but, if you really love your flight sims, you could hold off for a bit until the final release is out and software companies start developing vista compatible games, then youll get you flight sims. unless they go out of style, then you burn haha peace

Not sure if you were being sarcastic :-) , but FSX by MS is due to be released around the same time as Vista and MS gave a preview of it at CES. Flight sim been around for years as a stand alone and the next release is supposed to take advantage of vista graphic features

I think virtually all Microsoft Flight Simulator games will run under Windows Vista, since most are based on DirectX technology. Windows Vista will come with DirectX 10, more correctly, Windows Graphics Foundation (WGF) 1.0 and 2.0, so the games should be backwards-compatible.
Other than that, I doubt it'll ever come bundled with Windows as it'll probably be too big for a game (file size), although a "lite" version might be nice. But again, personally I think Windows Games should be simple, and appropriate for all-ages (since Windows is used by all ages). The games in Windows Vista pretty much show those qualities. The new look of the classic games are just great!
My last game of Flight Simulator was version 2002. Quite fun, but my time schedules don't allow me to fly anything more than one aircraft trip from Sydney to Melbourne. I'm pretty interested in Flight Simulator X though, probably because it's now using WGF, with a Direct3D 10 more powerful than the Xbox 360 (with DirectX 10-compliant GPU of course).
Regards

Only M$ games are important? No other games would be allowed to survive in the future?
